THE TERRITORY

An ongoing commitment to quality and sustainability,
rooted in our territory.

Piedmont is an area rich in emotions, landscapes and gastronomic traditions that tell stories of culture, memory and quality. Local flavours evoke childhood memories and give value to daily work, making food a profound element of identity. Italy, and Piedmont in particular, is recognised worldwide for food excellence, thanks to products such as wines, truffles and hazelnuts.

The mission is to valorise the local supply chain, promoting collaboration between local realities and making the quality of products visible. In a food sector so rich in variety and skills, it is essential to communicate and make known what makes this land unique. Developing the territory means stimulating growth, visibility and awareness, in a continuous process of improvement and connection between people, culture and landscapes.

The history of the olive tree in Piedmont has ancient roots: introduced by the Romans and widespread in the Middle Ages, it was cultivated extensively until the 15th century. Municipal regulations and historical documents attest to its presence in many areas of Piedmont. However, a series of frosts between 1700 and 1800 caused its abandonment, leading to the disappearance of mills and cultivations.

It is only since the 1990s that a renaissance of olive growing in Piedmont has begun, with around 350 hectares under cultivation and 250,000 trees. Today, production is niche, sustained by the passion of those who aim for absolute quality. Oil is a daily symbol of nutrition, health and tradition.

This vision takes shape through the history of the Ruata family, from Grandpa Bruno to Fulvio, now CEO, who carry on a family oil tradition rooted in Mediterranean history and oil culture.
